Spruce Grove Karate is fortunate to have a number of committed black belts, past and present. All of the black belts in our club are nationally certified by the Shintani Wado-Kai Karate Federation.
Sensei Mike - Nidan

Sensei Mike is a Nidan (second-degree black belt) and the Head Instructor for Spruce Grove Karate. Sensei Mike began training in Wado-Kai Karate September 2000 at the Spruce Grove club under Sensei Danny McCoy. Sensei Mike also holds a Level 1 SWKKF Instructor Certification.

Sensei Danny - Shodan

Sensei Danny is a Shodan (first-degree black belt), and is an Assistant Instructor with the club.

Sensei Delaine - Yodan
Sensei Delaine is the previous Head Instructor of the Spruce Grove Karate Club. She holds the rank of Yodan (fourth-degree black belt), and as a member of the 2006-2008 SWKKF National Team, she has travelled across Canada and into the USA to compete in international tournaments. She currently is on the SWKKF selection committee for the National Team.
Sensei Delaine also holds a Level 3 instructors certification in Commando Krav Maga.
She is currently on hiatus from the club.
